The Sales Rep position is responsible for generating revenue by selling and servicing accounts via phone and/or internet.  Sell products and/or services. Duties include inbound and/or outbound telesales activities for new or existing/renewing accounts.  May be assigned to respond to email inquiries and orders may also generate leads for sales team.

  • Follows up on sales leads
  • Cold calling customers
  • Builds customer relationships
  • Looks for new potential sales opportunities/customers
  • Answers incoming calls on order line
  • Qualifies leads for other areas of sales team
  • Answers phones, emails, faxes or other customer and sales communications
  • Handles mostly small independent accounts
  • Adopts company policies and processes
Education and Experience
  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • One year of relevant experience or equivalent education
  • AA degree preferred, but not required

Physical Demands
Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
