Description/Job Summary

Purpose

This position is responsible for maintaining a positive impression of Brownells for employees and visitors by creating and maintaining a clean environment safe from debris, viral and bacterial hazards as well as assisting in set-up and take-down of employee events.

Essential Functions

Applicants must be available to work on Saturday

Responsible for creating and maintaining a clean office environment by fulfilling performance expectations in the following areas:

  • Vacuum
    • Daily – all carpeted hallways and rugs
    • Annually – vent covers, ceiling diffusers
  • All door handles, light switches, etc. – frequent disinfecting of all work surfaces where bacteria and viruses can be transmitted.
  • Trash Collection
  • Daily – trash cans in offices, fulfillment and break room, bathrooms, conference rooms
  • Weekly – R&D room, return storage
  • Other designated rooms as needed
  • Daily – all bathrooms
  • Weekly clean and mop; may require more frequent cleaning and mopping, depending on weather conditions, and if someone has a spill.
  • Responsible for making sure stairways are clean and dry so as to prevent falls.
  • Thorough “spring cleaning” annually
  • Bathrooms - Clean, Stock, Drains, Soap/Disinfectant, Fill machines
  • Stairways
  • Conference Rooms – straighten, clean tables, chairs, vacuum, dust
  • Lobby & offices
  • Offices – clean, dust, vacuum, plant maintenance
  • Lobby Area – vacuum, wet mop, dust
  • Break room – daily clean, wet mop
  • Windows – monthly
  • Collect pop cans and bottles company wide
  • Follow cleaning checklist in a timely manner

Responsible for maintaining adequate equipment and supplies for above listed responsibilities.

Special events:

  • Assist with table setups, decorating, special cleaning jobs
  • Assist with moving furniture and office supplies

Responsible for using all cleaning supplies according to manufacturer safety precautions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to understand and demonstrate proper and safe usage of all cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains confidentiality of private information that may be encountered while performing routine job duties.
